Cobute

We take care of your structure

Be the first to review

Cobute is the leading manufacturer of permanent, reinforced, precast concrete shutters, enabling each individual project to be custom designed according to Engineer’s specifications.

Founded in 1994 in the Western Cape by brothers Attilio and Adriano Angelucci, Cobute (Concrete Building Technology) brings extensive manufacturing experience in the precast building industry from the Angelucci’s family traditions in Italy.

Together with its patented rib and panel decking system, Cobute has the most complete precast offering on the market with its Beams, Staircases and Edge Ribs . the most comprehensive precast offering.

The Cobute systems

The products have been designed and patented to support reinforced concrete monolithic structures that favour interaction between the elements so as to ensure long-term stability; more so when the system is subjected to lateral loads such as those of a seismic nature. While the systems can be designed by any Professional Engineer, Cobute can supply Engineer calculations, layout drawings, completion certificates as well as NHBRC documents through a strong network of Consulting Engineers.

Precast panel-deck

Panel-deck is the evolution of the rib and panel slab, to ensure fast and high-quality installation of the decking while retaining the full benefits of a monolithic structure.

Precast edge ribs

The structural elements of the Cobute beam and rib create this permanent concrete edge shutter, used for stairwells, cantilever balconies and roof slab. Say goodbye to timber!

Precast stairs

A modular staircase with no measurement constraints and able to fit many shapes (except round ones) and landings.

Precast beams

Tested by the Department of Civil Engineering at UCT for sheer strength and bending moment capacity, the Cobute beams minimise shuttering and carpentry for supporting, roof and foundation beams.
