The Awnmaster team was founded in 1979 by John Singleton who is the Chairman. In 1984, his son, Anthony, and son-in-law, Leon Grobler, joined the company. Over the years, the company developed and expanded. And so, became one of leading awning manufacturers in South Africa.
We currently employ 80 staff with a sales force of five consultants. We offer customers a total of 100 years of experience in awnings, carports and patios. This, together with the belief that “the customer always comes first”, has equipped us to offer the very best in before and after-sales service. All our installations are custom-designed to meet the needs of the client.
Our quality products are designed and approved by a structural engineer and they have the approval from all local councils in the Greater Durban area. All our products also come with product-specific guarantees and warranties.

Awning prices will vary according to size, material, type and complexity. Dimensions, photos and a sketch will help to give approximate prices.
Our quotes are free; however, if there is a long distance to travel, we would prefer a commitment of sorts from the client.
Window awnings, Sun-Adjust Patio Covers and Shadeports do not constitute as coverage and most Councils do not request plans. Solid carports and patio covers generally do require plans. We do offer a service to assist you.
This depends on the size of the installation; however, your average domestic install should take between three and four weeks.
We generally offer a two-year workmanship guarantee and a ten-year paintwork guarantee on our aluminium products only. This is providing an acceptable method of cleaning is used every three months on areas of the structure that are not exposed to rain. Guarantees to our steel products are negotiated on request.
